The addin activates the reporting services section.
I believe that the addin isn't installed correctly.
Could you try by executing the following command in a CMD BOX:
msiexec -i rsSharePoint.msi SKIPCA=1.

Thx for the tutorial..

I stopped at : " start Sharepoint Central Administration, and click [Application Management]. There should be a section called “Reporting Services”, if it is not available, "

I cannot see 'Reporting Service',

any idea about this?

I have winsows server 2008 Standard,
SQL 2008 R2 standard,
and sharepoint 2010 standard

Please advice.

Very nice guide. Thank you.

This is the second time I implement SSRS (sql 2005) integrated into MOSS and I've run into some unexplained snags.

I've done everything on here, except the AuthenticationTypes since I can't find that tag. It's likely a sql 2005 vs 2008 difference.

I having a working environment to compare to and everything appears to be configured perfectly.

On the failing environment, when I attempt to add a data source I get

An unexpected error occurred while connecting to the report server. Verify that the report server is available and configured for SharePoint integrated mode

and if I upload new Reports, the image type on the file looks like a Doc instead of the familiar RDS file type.

If I browse the ReportServer virtual, I only see the Share Service Provider site and none of my sharepoint (hostnamed) Web applications.

I've confirmed the following:

The SSRS ADD-in is install on the MOSS, WFE and SSRS servers
The SSRS WFE is on the Farm
Reporting serverice and Reporting is enabled on the site collection
The MOSS Central Admin configuration to the SSRS was good for all three sections
The SSRS Configuration shows Sharepoint Integated in DB setup and all other lights are green

Beyond the Add-in, do I have to install another WSP for SSRS Webparts?
Beyond having security set correctly, and SQL SP2 installed, are they are steps I need to perform on the SQL Server, Do I need to do any setspn steps on on the SQL Server?

Thanks for any help or information.
